Arrived at the NAIA 1 and to no surprise, my handcarry stuff were overweight! Surprised to see Ysa, Gem and Francis there! We left Manila at around 8am. Fancy plane ride going to Hong Kong!
So I went to the Ateneo for the last time before I leave to, supposedly, go for ACLC Prayer Session and for AJMA Week but the PS was cancelled as well as my role for the AJMA Week. Blessing, really, because I got to spend some time with friends and to just enjoy the AdMU campus
before the completion of the stupid SM Blue Residences before I walk the halls of ESC Rennes (Rennes School of Business). May I just say, it really reminds me of Rockwell! Haha!
Really happy I saw Goldie, Juan, Jason. The three ME sophomores from COA Special Projects who will I surely miss! I saw Suzie, Ken, Charla, Meryl, Irwin, El, among other COA people. I also saw a lot of other friends. AWW will really miss laughing and playing Monopoly Deal with them!
Quite the cutest thing that happened while I was in MVP. Paten gave me money to buy her a Longchamp. And Wenz happened to fetch Paten. Then I dragged Paten to see Froi. And we went to get Angelli and it was a reunion for Ohana! HAHA! too bad Stif and Stef weren’t there! For the former, obviously because he’s busy with thesis and the latter, because she’s a working girl now HAHA!
I headed to Saint’s Alp Teahouse to, as promised, get milk tea and get some toast. I totally love their Black Tea with Milk! You should try it out! I headed to CTC 104 to crash a COA TD training for AMP on Marketing. There I got to reunite with Tricia Mallari. The woman who introduced me to the world of marketing! She’s also the Marketing Head of RecWeek for this school year!
And I look ugly here HAHA! Martin Tee! Probably one of my friends I get to talk to a lot online but I rarely see in campus. Happy I got to see him before I leave! Always take care and remember, SMEGsem ka! Don’t be too busy with everything! BUT also remember that we’re just here to support you all the way! 🙂
It was a fun day and to top it off, as we JTA people are leaving, new people are coming to school!
I really can’t believe that I only have 5 days to go before I leave for France! I have started packing last week but it seems that my luggage is always overweight and that I constantly need to repack and try to understand what’s making my luggage overweight! But oh well, I do not want to dwell on the negatives, I’d rather dwell on the top 5 things that are making me happy right now!
Finally after around 4 years I get an ATM again! Last time I had was back in 3rd Year High and after maxing it out, and being scolded by mom because of it, she decided maybe it’s best I don’t own one. Now that I am going to France, I would definitely need one as means to sustain myself there. Why not have a credit card as well? Simple, my mom thinks I’ll just max it out. HAHA!
My bag. I don’t know why but it’s making me happy. I don’t want to show you how I fixed it because it looks like a mess! Haha! Quite notable that for the the first time I ever, I rolled my shirts instead of folding them. I am really still praying I get to stuff everything needed and wanted inside the bag 😦
My moleskine! Looks familiar? I featured this one in another post back in April! This is the one I got all the way from Milan, because the one I’m currently using had a factory defect. Really excited to fill it up with memories and colors and whatever I can stuff it with!
My eurail everything! I got these yesterday and I am so excited to just travel around Europe on days that I don’t have class! Unlike my other schoolmates in Rennes, I opted not to get Austria and instead have a France-Germany-Switzerland ticket worth for 8 trips in 2 months. I am hoping I won’t regret the decision to deviate from them. I don’t know what’s in Austria anyway and I actually want to have a weekend for myself. Soul searching? Maybe. 🙂
And the one that’s making me happy the most and until I’m so giddy about is my new laptop! After waiting for practically around 71 days (I think…), I finally got my macbook pro! TBH, reflecting now, I really would’ve wanted a macbook white but it’s no longer sold. I am still waiting for an orange speck to come out and I’m still looking for a decent sleeve for my lappy. Hoping I get to find one before I leave! 😦 Still clueless what to name it, my brother suggested the French for Apple which would be “Pommes” but it sounds weird. So confused what to call her! 😦
Thank you mom for buying me my lappy! I love you despite the many times I got so impatient 🙂
This First Aid Manual I started studying back in 3rd Year because I never had the time to enroll myself under Red Cross. Stopped reading since college so I’m quite clueless. Really thinking of bringing this to France if I still have enough weight for my luggage/hand carry. If not, will probably download an ebook version if available.
WHHHHEEEE!!! 5 days to go and I’m getting 100% ready! Will update this more often(I’ll try to daily even!) when I’m there, promise! 🙂
August 10, 2011
Today I had quite an interesting day. I had the usual ASLA Weekly Wednesday meetings. I really feel sad sometimes because of certain reasons but I know we’re gonna pull through and everything will just go fine 🙂 I had lunch with Pearl at JSEC and I’m so happy that before I leave get to eat there again haha! I had an interview after, really hoping I get in!!
Went to the Modern Languages Department quite early for French classes and happy I am really quickly picking up these French stuff! haha! Pearl and I went to CTC 301 for the Special Projects Training and it was really fun! Wish Juan and Goldie were there! And actually, the whole SP! haha! We had dinner at Gravy Fix after!
It was a sorta send off dinner slash just hang out before I leave dinner! haha! I had a good time with them girls! We just talked about whatever stuff and I dunno….I will just really miss the company! The laughter, the all-girlyness (well I’ll get that in Rennes! HAHA!) and everything! I’ll miss working with them specially I’ll miss out on Blue Christmas this school year 😦
Sad not a lot of people were able to go but I’m thankful nonetheless, thank you also Charla for the libre! 😀 owe you one!
Oh! I was also able to grab a Milk Tea from Saint’s Alp Teahouse! Very delicious at the right price! I think I got a Black Tea with pearls! haha! I shall get more milk teas before I go to France because I fear there aren’t any there 😦
