I’m back from Singapore

I got home from Singapore on April 12 around 1:30 am. Had to be in school around 10 am for errands, an interview and a meeting. Such a crazy day!
First, I just confirmed my schedule and it’s totally crazy! I am hoping Sir Wilson Gan will reconsider the schedule of our Marketing class and make it Monday-Wednesday afternoon. Stress to have a Friday night class and a Saturday morning class! I am hoping for fun classmates from other blocks. I know that my ComTech JTA blockmates are fun already so yeah. Haha!

I went to MVP 101 to pay for my locker violation thing. Totally wasn’t aware of it! But I really hoped that my black cardigan was inside because since the last day of classes, I really couldn’t find it. Thankfully, my cardigan was inside my locker! Didn’t care if I had to pay 200, I really love my cardigan!

I went to my ACTM Finance Core interview after and I could say it was really fun! although I can say that, it’s my worst interview ever. As in I was just so messy! Thank God Inno’s nice and was totally cool about it. I trike’d to Boulevard Diner to have lunch with Rem, Gayle, Nikki and Trisha. I was so lost! The trike driver was super annoying even! He wanted me to pay him 75 pesos! Crazy! Gave him 50 since I stressed him out a bit.

It was a small resto with good food. Although it might be pricey for some, you should totally try it out! It was so nice to lunch out with them! Really missed seeing these people!

Afternoon I waited for a bit and met up with Josh and Krista for our first ever 1st General Assembly! Agpoon was there for a bit. Really happy I saw them! And I am really psyched for the 1st GA, it’ll be really awesome :>

Yesterday, I went to school late afternoon for a meeting with the OrSem ENT people. I met with Eljohn first and he gave me this slip of paper for our meeting on Saturday. I then met with Bernice who is my very awesome Irwin head! Haha! After our quick meeting, I rushed to the OIR to ask about classes available in the school I’ll be going to. Got super bummed that most of the classes I wished to take are only available during the Spring Semester 😦

Went to the OPS room for the ENT meeting which Paten headed. Before the meeting though Al and I got to talk about many random stuff. Really missed this Korean Chinese guy considering we worked together a lot of times last school year. The ice breaker was really sabaw and by that I mean it took up 1/3 of the whole duration of our meeting, or maybe 1/4. It’s fun and effective! I now know all the names of the people there!

Al is the side-viewed one. He looks more Korean than Chinese!

Can’t wait for OrSem! Feels weird though, to be honest, to not be a TnT. 😦 Although I know I will enjoy being in ENT, after all OrSem is not about me and my growth, but about the incoming freshmen. Really excited for them but I’m just so </3 that I have classes during OrSem. Really hoping profs will give us free cuts!

Abot Tanaw Mauban!

March 27-30, 2011

Around this time last week, I was in Mauban Quezon with a few friends for this leadership seminar which Bien-Bien spearheaded along with Henson and JQ. Bien-Bien thought of doing Abot Tanaw in Mauban after ASLA 9. Preparations were done with the help of a lot of ASLA 9 participants. It was really preparing for stuff, actually. It was like preparing for the CSO LeadSem, Sanggu-HS LeadCamp, ACTM LTC Trailblazer and I guess it was a sneak peek for the preparations for ASLA. It was quite unfortunate though that there were only 9 of us who were able to go mainly due to logistical concerns. It was a blast though!

Us minus JQ outside the Pagoda restaurant. We were supposedly imitating something, not sure what though. It was in this restaurant that I ate my first suso(snail) and pancit habhab. The latter was really delicious! For the former, it was very exotic for me, but it also tasted good.

When we arrived at the White House, we chilled and did some last minute preparations for the 2-day affair. The whole time we were just planning and preparing more to make the event really awesome and unforgettable.

Come the first day, (March 28) we were set to conquer the potential-filled youth of Mauban.

There were a lot of things that happened in a span of 2 days for the kids. And as much as they have learned many things about themselves and opportunities after school, I also learned stuff about myself. I learned a lot about facilitating from JQ and Henson, truly appreciate those. I would really love to share what happened in Quezon but I don’t wish to spoil the stuff for future Abot Tanaw.

All I can say is that in those 4 days I spent with awesome, crazy friends, co-faci’s, I really had fun not just because we fooled Xab on the way, or because of the fun feeling being faci’s, or because we had how many jump pictures while we were in the beach. More than those…

I found lifelong koo koo friends.

People who are game to be shot in other words, people who love my camera. Haha!

Friends who will be there to help me when I have problems and dilemmas. Friends I know I will hold on to, no matter what.

Friends I can share my dreams with and more than that, I feel that we’ll be helping each other achieve our dreams.

People who will help me cling on to my passions.

I guess looking back at that amazing experience, of sleeping on a couch for 2 nights, of trying my best not to cry during some of the activities, of eating new food, of taking 2000+ photos, of drinking lambanog and a lot more… I found myself to be like a kid who has big dreams, and while on top of a hill wishing to go down from it.

And as I go down, I wish that more friends will go with me as I spread my own ripples.

Abot Tanaw Mauban!

Why I Love Moleskine

In my last entry I mentioned that my Moleskine has some defect on the pocket flap thing at the back of the planner.

I was saddened, really, and quite disappointed because they let a defect pass the testing stage for quality whatever. I’ve been a planner type of person since I was in 7th grade (2005). Back then I used Starbucks planners since 1. I really liked the colorfulness 2. It’s Starbucks and at that time of my life I really really loved everything Starbucks (fact: I currently have 5 Starbucks tumblers).

My brother introduced me to Moleskine as something sleek, simple and very minimalist while retaining its “beauty”. Without saying anything else, I grabbed my first Moleskine from the shelf and bought it. I really loved every bit of it. The texture of the paper, the garter thing, the fact that it has some ruler sort of thing. Totally fell in love. In fact, ever since 2008, I have been buying Moleskine planners! And at times I would buy Moleskine planners/notebooks/whatnot for my friends as well. To date, I think I have given 7 friends Moleskine stuff. I can totally be a Moleskine ambassador or something if such exists!

Anyway, so I went to their site and told them my problem after my last blog entry. I wasn’t expecting anything, to be honest. But  I was surprised that they e-mailed me this afternoon!

Can’t wait to get the replacement! I am really happy because of all the customer care and services ever, Moleskine is the very first to reply to me. And that’s why I love Moleskine!

I am not endorsing them in anyway, I wish I am though then they’ll sponsor my blog but haha! will not reach the caliber of chuvaness anytime soon. And don’t really want to endorse it because I find it a chore to get a planner I want from them since stocks are super limited and they arrive in few quantities. Don’t want to travel all the way to Greenbelt though (their flagship store is located there). Anyway, I shall be patiently waiting for the replacement. Hope it arrives here before I leave!

Why I Love Moleskine

April’s Here!

April is here! As much as I wanted to blog about the boring events of April 1, I opted to move it to today since I anticipated fun stuff to happen. Too bad not so much! Haha!

April 1, our grades were released. To be honest I was so thankful for some of my classes while saddened at some. I really wish I did better the past sem and didn’t lose hope halfway through the sem. But that’s that and I am just happy that at least my cumulative went up from 2.86 to 2.91! My QPI last sem was 2.75 and I guess I improved since my QPI for this sem is 3.00.

I’m halfway through college and I just can’t wait for the last 2 years of my college life!

See my 4th year 2nd sem? Well since I’ll be JTA-ing, all those electives will be credited during my JTA Term. and I am really hoping that my minoring plans will work out! Pray for me please!

I have a fun goal by graduation but since I don’t want to jinx anything, I shall keep my mouth shut for now. Only my brother knows about it. We’re cool like that. Haha!

April 2, I woke up to a very </3 site! My Moleskine Diary 2011 apparently has a defect! Good thing I kept the quality control and I’m hoping the Moleskine people will exchange it! 😦 I really defended to buy this over the usual hard cover weekly planner so Moleskine better replace it.

As much as it really brought me down, my favorite neighbor happened to pass by the house! I don’t know the spelling of his name but it’s like “Caiden”. Caiden is like the cutest most adorable neighbor I ever had in the history of neighbors! I really want to keep him and be his babysitter. I’ll totally treat him like a younger brother and pass on all my dreams in life to him and he’ll be as amazing as I am as other cool people are.

I gave him a lollipop I found in our refrigerator! And whatever his babysitter, my househelp and I did, he wouldn’t eat it! He just kept on shaking it and he kept on smiling! Cute!

I made him smile and laugh a lot of times and he made me really happy too! Maybe I should consider babysitting during the month before I leave?

When I was a baby I was a Korean. I’ve told that to my friends how many times already but it’s true! I really look like some Korean with big hair!

I’d like to assume I had a haircut after some time and then I turned into this baby with funky hair. Reminds me of some Taiwanese actor actually! Haha!
Well that’s it for now! Will blog in a while about my trip in Mauban, Quezon! 🙂

April’s Here!

Because I’m Almost There

I am officially done with all my classroom finals! Still have an imba-ish paper to do though and a video to edit. Hassle, seriously. But shucks, really hoping to get high grades this sem! Super unexpected stuff have been happening to me lately and I am just so grateful! Will make a separate entry and I promise I won’t be too mysterious (it’s so lame to always be secretive, imo). I’m just waiting for the right time to say things 🙂 Don’t want to jinx stuff after all. Haha!

So today I had Psych and Theo finals. Hoping to get a B+ in Psych and to get an A in Theo. I did everything I could and it’s up to Him whether to grant me those or not. Whatever His decision is, I will still be grateful that I have the grades I have now. After taking the Theo finals, I went around and decided to take a picture of the TnT Board. I just love taking pictures of it! Haha!

Super kilig that a lot of people have signed up already and more will sign up by the end of the week! Really happy for the TnT Core! Great job guys! I also love the challenge this year! I love the headgear of last year since it kinda sparked my interest in being a famous avant-garde milliner some day. Haha!

Totally love the challenge because I have this weird fascination with puppets! Whether it be finger puppets, marionettes, shadow puppets, ventriloquist ones. You name it! I totally love puppets and I promise I’ll work really hard to make the best and most creative puppet the interviewers will witness! 😉 Hoping my friends will see it too, since I have already sketched everything and it’s just a matter of gathering materials and construction. Promise this won’t be as fail as my audition 2 last year! 🙂

Decided to check the SOM Dean’s board (like my 5th this week? Haha!). The following were taken this afternoon. JTA free slots! 🙂

Can’t believe a lot of people chose France! Actually no, not surprised. HAHAHA! 70 slots not counting Mod’Art! So happy for all the JTA-ers! Can’t wait to meet everyone of you this summer! 😉

On my way home, I asked my mom if we can go to Serenitea. Swear to God it has been my comfort thing ever since I was introduced to it back in December! Really calms me and makes me really happy! It’s actually my new Starbucks! Haha! My favorite is Okinawa, 75%, pearl! Have only tried Royal Milk Tea and Hokkaido because I just love these three flavors that I don’t find the need to try others anymore! haha!

When I got home, first thing in order was to clean my macbook. It’s been so dusty and just plain gross that I opted to buy this “Cyber Clean” thing. Think of it as Flubber but less awesome. Haha! it’s kinda neat-o just that it doesn’t clean dirt. Just dust. I can easily blow off dust but I guess the dust stuffies underneath the keys are just worth cleaning.

While I was checking it out in the Mac store in Power Plant Mall last Monday, I was just blown away like I just need to press then clean! The actual thing though, it smelled weird (not bad nor good), but it felt so squishy and fun! Totally cleaned off the dust from my keyboard! It’s P270.00 and I’m telling you, not worth it! I just had this urge to buy something that’s why I decide to buy this (as if the MUJI notebook wasn’t enough. Haha!) Well, I am the least practical among my brothers #confession. Haha!

It looks yucky and dirty because that’s how yucky and dirty my keyboard was before meeting this Flubber-like clay cleaning thing. Will buy the eraser thing soon to legit clean my laptop!

Well that’s it for now! Gotta finish on my COM12 part of the paper so I will only have to worry about HI16 tomorrow!

LAST 2 1/2 DAYS!! :>
